4 Ways to Save by Staying On-Site at WDW

Staying on-site is a great way to immerse yourself in the magic of WDW! You can schedule a wake up call from Mickey Mouse for the kids on the first morning that will leave them with big smiles on their faces. In addition to fun extras, you can actually save money and time by staying at a WDW resort.

My favorite on-site resort to stay at is the Pop Century. I truly enjoy all the fun and funky decorations. I know when I stay there I am saving myself time and stress, in addition to saving money.

The first thing you will save money on is not having to rent a car, if you are flying to Orlando. By staying onsite there is FREE transportation to and from the airport via the Magical Express. While you are having your dream vacation at WDW, there is onsite transportation that is again FREE. This is a huge savings considering a rental car for a week can be between $300-$400.

When staying on-site, you will be able to participate in some free activities around your resort. One of the best Freebies is Movie Under the Stars. This is when on selected nights the resort put up a big screen and show a movie in the evenings. This is a great way to make memories by grabbing a few blankets and taking in a great movie.

Another thing you will save on by staying on-site is time. First you will save time getting to and from the parks. Time is a huge factor in your trip! When you stay off-site you have to get in the car, drive a half hour, then find parking, then walk to the gate, and finally start your day. By staying on site and using the WDW Transportation, you can just hop on the bus, monorail, or boat and be dropped pretty close to the front gate of your chosen theme park.

One other way to save time is an afternoon rest. I know it sounds crazy but trust me. When you stay on site, you can easy go back to resort for a couple of hours during the hottest part of the day to recharge your battery. Then you will be able to spend more time in the parks later in the evenings when the crowds are less. This means less waiting in line for your favorite rides which is a great time saver.

Save money and time by staying on site at WDW. There are so many options for staying on site at WDW. There are great value resorts all the way to deluxe accommodations. Just remember to make sure to pick what is right for you and your family while staying on budget.
