We all know the saying things to do, people to see, places to be. Well that is very true about a vacation to WDW. There is so much to do, characters to meet, and food to eat. All of the fun usually has to be crammed into a short 5-7 day vacation. This means you will have to go go go, but Epcot, especially World Showcase is one of the places it is really fun to slow down and take advantage of some free entertainment. Let’s look at the BEST Epcot freebies!
You might want to start your World Showcase day with a stop at Club Cool on the way to World Showcase. Here you can try Coca-Cola flavors from all over the world. It is very interesting each country’s take on soda, some are fruity, some are sweet, while others are bitter. Beware of the Beverly.
As you enter World Showcase, you can enjoy Mariachi Cobre in the Mexico Pavilion. You might even hear a few songs from the new movie Coco. When visiting the China Pavilion keep your eyes peeled for Jeweled Dragon Acrobats. They will keep you on the edge of your seat with their high flying antics. Next in Italy you might encounter Sergio. His mime act features some outstanding juggling.
After enjoying a few pavilions you might want to grab a snack and a drink and then sit and listen to the Voices of Liberty in the American Pavilion. The Voices of Liberty will thrill you with their beautiful acapella singing of great American songs under the rotunda. As you stroll into the Japan pavilion you can encounter Matsuriza. These Japanese Taiko drummers keep guests entertained. Over in Morocco your ears are in for a treat as the group Sahara Beat plays authentic Moroccan music.
As you continue your stroll through World Showcase, you might catch Serveur Amusant as he stack chairs incredibly high in France. His balance and ability to climb is outstanding. Finally in the United Kingdom you will enjoy the sounds of British Revolution, a British rock band. All of these free entertainment options happen several times through the day, so pick up a schedule on your way into the park and make sure to see your favorites.
Another really cool free entertainment option in Epcot is Kidcot. Kidcot is a great way for your kids to learn about the different countries represented in Epcot. At each Kidcot stop, kids will be helped by a Cast Member while creating a unique arts and crafts project. So not only will your kids learn, you will also have FREE souvenirs to take home.
If you are visiting during one of Epcot’s Festivals, you are in for a real treat! During the festivals there are FREE Concerts in the American Gardens Theater. These concerts feature acts from some pretty big names! Going to a FREE concert in the evening is a great way to rest your feet after a day of walking around World Showcase.
While visiting World Showcase you will have so many opportunities to soak in culture from the 11 countries represented. Make sure to slow down and enjoy your time at World Showcase.
