Free Dining Hotels

Next, you must be staying on property at WDW. The free dining promotion is available guests at most resorts with only a few exceptions. If you are planning to stay at a 3-bedroom villa, campsite, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the Bungalows at Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, or The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation, you will not be a part of the free dining promotion. If your heart is set on staying at one of these rooms you can still book your vacation and save your money other ways.

Free Dining Offers

Now, let’s look at the 2 different dining plans being offered this year. Guests staying at Deluxe Villa Resorts and Deluxe Resorts will have the option of FREE Disney Dining Plan, while guests staying at Moderates and Value resorts will have the FREE Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. There are some big differences in the 2 dining plans. For guests on the Quick-Service plan receive 2 quick-service meals per day and 2 snacks. Guests who stay at a resort with the Disney Dining Plan will get one quick-service meal and one table service meal along with 2 snacks per day.

Finally the biggest difference or catch about the Free Dining offer for this year is the fact that you must have park hopper or park hopper plus on your tickets for every day. This is really where you need to look and decide if this is what is best for your family. The park hopper option is $55 per day per member of your family. The park hopper plus option is $80 per day per member of your family. For a family of 4 that is anywhere from $220 to $320 per day just to get the FREE Dining package. So the FREE Dining package for a family of 4 for 5 days will add $1,100 to $1,600 to the base price of their vacation.
